Description:This Wolseley was purchased new from Wallis’s Garage Ltd in Kettering by a Mr Frank Patrick. Mr Patrick was a local sub postmaster who owned a shop and post office in the nearby village of Woodford. A previous owner states the car was only used to go to the wholesaler in Kettering on a Wednesday afternoon to collect goods for the shop and on Sunday’s to visit Mrs Patrick’s Mother. Included in the history file are photos of the vehicle with the couple. The car was purchased by the vendor, who is the sixth owner, in 2003 when the mileage was 51,900. The car has been used sparingly since covering less than 5000 miles in 14 years and only being used in the summer months for shows and rallys. Auctioneers notes: Included in the file is a good amount of history during the vendor’s ownership however there is not a great deal prior to that. Although we know the vehicle was lightly used by previous owners we cannot prove the mileage. |
