1960 MG A Roadster 94,192 (Not Warranted) £18500 + buyers premium

Description:

This MGA roadster has only had three keepers from new. It has been owned for the last 12 years by Graham Carter, a well known rally driver/navigator, and was previously rebuilt and owned since 1980 by Robin Stretton, co-founder of HRCR ( the Historic Rally Car Register). It’s done about 50 classic events from Pirelli Classic Marathon to Monte Carlo Challenge, some wearing it’s previous registration LBL240.
Currently fitted with an MGB 1850 race engine with alloy cross flow head, twin webers, maniflow exhaust and 5 speed gearbox. It has a full length sump guard, alloys, Avon tyres, roll cage and harnesses. It also has full wet weather gear with a good quality hood, frame , and side windows.
This MG rally car is surprisingly easy to drive but very quick, and sounds fantastic, if a bit loud! Ideal for track, sprint, hill climb, or just scaring horses on a sunny Sunday. It is Mot’d (no advisories) , road legal, tax exempt, and in good condition throughout with a great patina.

Auctioneers notes: I wish I was 25 years younger!
