Jaguar ‘E’Type 1962

By December 9, 2014 No Comments

Jaguar E Type 1962 entered into the January 30th Classic Car Auction.

“A wonderful opportunity to acquire an original and apparently sound example of an iconic early E – Type”
Supplied new in the USA on the 26th February 1962 to a H C Wagner. Nothing else is known of the early history of the car until it was registered in the UK by the E Type Centre in Derbyshire in January 1999. Presumably it was converted to RHD at this stage. Two weeks later the car was exported to Cavan, Ireland and has been residing in a barn ever since, stored in a Carcoon, until it was extracted recently. On preliminary examination, the car appears to be complete, very sound and highly original bar the aforementioned conversion to RHD and the fitting of a Motorola alternator. A Heritage Certificate confirms that that the block and cylinder head bear the correct number to match the chassis. The centre dash panel and centre console are covered in the period embossed aluminium and house the original Radiomobile radio. Other details include the chrome spoke wheels, model correct early steering wheel, black leather bucket seats and lap belts. Vendor confirms engine is turning over freely. Comes with UK Certificate of Permanent Export and Heritage Certificate.
Sold as a non runner, needs recommissioning. We will assist with V5 application.
