Ford Escort RS 2000 1993 entered into the January 30th Classic Car Auction.
Only 3 owners from new. Car was taken off the road in 2005 due to owners ill health. It was then re-commissioned in 2012 and has been used very little since. Car has a stainless steel exhaust. Has recently had a thorough overhaul including brakes, water pump and a new radiator. Unfortunately there is no history prior to 2012 due to the fact that it was mislaid by the second owner, however a handbook and RS Rallye Sport info pack has been sourced. Although the mileage is unwarranted, the vendor states there is no reason to believe the mileage is not genuine due to only having 3 owners. The vehicle comes with the personalised registration number which has been independently valued at £600. There is a set of factory option alloy wheels fitted and the vehicle colour is polaris grey. 4cl twin cam 16v engine produces 150BHP with a 0-60 time of 8.2 seconds and a top speed of 129mph. N.b this is the lighter and faster 2WD version which has not been modified.
