Description:For a short video of the vehicle running please click here Auctioneers Notes: This is an excellent example of a much loved British Sports Car. She was repatriated back to the UK in 1990. A bill of sale to the first UK owner is in the file together with the State of Carolina Certificate of Title which shows that the chassis number is correct. In the immense file, which will keep the new owner reading for hours are all the invoices split into 3 sections. Prior to 2013 which starts way back in 1987 in the USA and then the middle section is headed 2013 re-build this has lots of reading and a lot of adding up to do. The last part is from August 2017 which covers the refurbishment. I did a quick totting up of the invoices and it comes to well over £8,000 and all bills and invoices are listed in date order. By the way, you will have noted in reading the file that the replacement rings were made in Germany and, as you would expect, they fit well. The finish of the paintwork is excellent which was carried out by H.B. Autobodies a well known restorer. This very presentable car is fitted with overdrive, chrome wire wheels and she has a new hood. For those interested in comfort she has 2 aftermarket seats. She may be viewed strictly by appointment. |
