MG B GT 1979

Description:

This MG was acquired by the vendor on 11/11/81 from BL dealer. All MOT’s and fair amount of history from during his ownership are included. Fitted Webasto sunroof, towbar, stainless fuel tank and exhaust. radio/cd. The car was subject to a fairly major rebuild in approx 1991 which included most panels, sills door skins etc. except drivers front wing. Over last few years, front shock absorbers, brake master cylinder, radiator, core plugs, carbs serviced, new oil cooler, overdrive serviced and various other bits.
History file includes MOTs that date back to 1982 when the car was 3 years old and the mileage was 28,540. Also included are loads of invoices for work carried out to the car during the vendors ownership. Although the mileage is clearly genuine, the vendor and ourselves have chosen not to warrant it due to the lack of history for the first 3 years of its life.

Auctioneers notes: Another low owner car from new, 1st and 2nd owners believed to be husband and wife. The mileage is undoubtedly correct at 78,000 although not warranted. This car is not concours but has a very appealing patina.
