Description:

This S Type was supplied new to Jaguar Cars New York on 4th July 1966. The car was known to be owned by Mr Marsh Baldwin from 1977-1986. the car was imported into the UK on 08-04-1997 by a Mr Parkin and purchased by the vendor in 1999 for £3500. At that time the mileage was reading 80,500 miles. The speedo was then reset to zero and the car was completely rebuilt then painted green. The vendor has recently had the car repainted blue.
The rebuild included the following: spin on oil filter, straight port head rebuilt for unleaded, uprated heater fan and motor, radiator fan on thermostat, new high torque starter motor, sound deadening matt to all of shell, new heat shield and insulation to gearbox tunnel, central locking, LED instrument and interior lights, overdrive refurbished in 2008, 123 electronic ignition, stainless steel exhaust, 2″ SU carburettors, copper brake pipes, copper craft front calipers, Bluetooth radio, petrol tank prepared for fuel injection.

Auctioneers notes: It is very rare to find a 3.8 with a manual gearbox. This car is a cracker and sits on chrome wire wheels.
