The car was subject to a complete full nut and bolt restoration with bare metal respray in 2k Old English White. Full engine restoration by Barry Sheen Essex. Electric cooling fan, carb restoration by Burlen, recent updates due to corrosive nature of current fuel (floats, filters, valves etc). Electronic implant in SU fuel pump. Fitted BW 65 (Refurbed ex XJ6), due to lack of parts and high cost of those that are available for original DG (also better for fuel consumption). Currently a floor change however all parts retained for column changed. New 420 front brake calipers and all new brake master cylinder and copper pipes, stainless steel exhaust system, PAS with later Adwest (full commercial refurbishment), rear axle (ltd slip diff) commercial refurb, multi fuse board, new voltage reg, updated wiring loom, braided as original, refurbished dynamo, electronic insert in clock, hazard warning lights, classic style radio with AM, FM and CD, electronic ignition module, Thatcham alarm system with ultra sound in cabin with hidden installation. Due to the low back original front seats possible whip lash scenario replaced by XJ40 utilising electric adjust and heater (electrics hidden under seat. Fully refurbished picnic tables, Inertia reel seat belts in front, refurbed rear seat, all new door boards with refurbished wood work, door rubbers and kick plates with original dealers name plates and carpets. |
