This very attractive Mark II Jaguar 3.4 is finished in silver blue with dark blue leather. She benefits from some very useful upgrades, which will enhance the pleasure of driving her. All synchromesh gear box, Cooper Craft front brakes and Zeus rear callipers, power assisted Rack-and- pinion steering, stainless steel exhaust (which sounds superb) electronic ignition and electric fuel pump. She is, of course, the one to own, manual gear box with overdrive, chrome wire wheels, factory fitted Webasto style sunroof. We have 21 old MOT’s showing she has only covered 6305 miles since 1991. History records go back to ’91, mileage reading 93630. We have work sheets for the work carried out in 1993, which includes a complete bare metal restoration of the body work and mechanically she was overhauled. Importantly, there is a letter from the then owners Furness Vale Marina to the E-type centre, dated 19.4.97 stating that the car has only covered 2000m since the restoration in 1993 and they were happy for the E-type centre to have the car for sale on a SOR basis and return them the sum of £14,000. All this adds up to the fact that she has only covered 4300 m since the restoration in 1993. The letter also states that the car was stored for 15 years prior to his ownership. He also noted that the car has been re-registered.

Auctioneers Notes: It was a pleasure to meet the vendor of this lovely car and as I followed it to Poole from Dorchester I noticed she cruised at a steady 70 mph along the Bere Regis bypass with no sign of any smoke and she sat very squarely. This is a very striking car, she is not concores but a lovely Jaguar to own. The vendor confided to me that he considers the mileage to be correct, and looking at the paper work we have that could well be true.
