Daimler SP250 1963

This beautiful Daimler SP250 Dart was purchased by the vendor’s late husband in approximately 1982/83. Sadly he passed away earlier this year and his wife has now decided it is time to part with the car.
After he purchased the car, he set about restoring it to the highest standard. He was a very competent engineer so he stripped the vehicle completely, taking the body off the chassis before sending the body away for painting. All of the mechanical work and re assembling was carried out himself. The restoration was completed in 2015. We have invoices for £13,600 but that is only a part of it. The total cost, excluding his labour, of parts, re trimming (trimming alone came to £10,600) comes to a staggering total of £53,000. We are awaiting the rest of the paper work to be forwarded to us that confirms the above. Comes with the original service manual, the original handbook plus another service manual and an original works hard top which needs restoring is also included in the sale.

Auctioneers notes: It was a pleasure to meet the vendor of this absolutely superb car. It really has to be seen to be appreciated. The detail is amazing, all the chroming has been redone, it really is the one of the nicest examples I have ever seen. The car will be available for viewing from 29th August by appointment.
