1950 | Bentley | MKVI Special | 12,340 (Not Warranted) | £22,000.00 + buyers premium | |
Description:This Bentley MKVI Special was originally commissioned by Alex Tanner. Based on a MK VI Chassis, the engine was moved back and replaced with a B61 4.9 LTR motor, BDC 292:1 CWP and Harry Rose body. In November 2016, the vehicle was professionally serviced and the front suspension was modified in preparation for a long distance tour. After that the car was shipped to New Zealand. Unfortunately during the time the car was being shipped, the vendor fell ill and was unable to attend the event but luckily found a volunteer to take his place. The car completed the tour of two islands and was shipped back to Southampton in April where it was met by the vendor and driven back to Devon. |
