On Sunday 17th May – SWVA supported the first ever Classic Car Run & Lunch @ Lulworth hosted by the Dorset Blind Association.
A raffle and auction was held at the event with both Chris & Darren taking charge of the proceedings. Jon Filby was the lucky winning bidder for the Purchase Fee to be used at one of the Classic Auctions. The event and Auction raised an amazing £8,000 for the charity.
The Dorset Blind Association helps over 1,000 blind and visually impaired people a month, by providing such services as community support workers, social clubs and home visiting volunteers, but receives no government funding for their work.
Dorset Blind Association CEO Jonathan Holyhead said, we are pleased to welcome SWVA on board as supporters and hope that this is the start of a long successful relationship.
